The Opportunity
Under general direction, supports the development and facilitates and oversees the delivery of Commission-programmed (local, state and federally funded) transportation projects through the design and construction phases; performs a wide variety of complex professional engineering and project controls work related to the management, planning, and delivery of transportation projects and programs; provides project management, project controls and administration, including budget development and contract management; performs database management; provides complex and specialized professional staff assistance to the Deputy Director of Projects and Programming in areas of expertise; performs a wide variety of studies and prepares and presents staff reports; and performs related work as required.
Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, transportation engineering, transportation planning or a related engineering field.
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in civil or transportation engineering or transportation planning with emphasis in administering Federal, State, regional, and/or local transportation programs.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License by time of appointment.
- Possess and maintain a valid certificate or registration as a Professional Civil Engineer or Transportation Engineer in the State of California.

Compensation
The annual salary range is $103,655 to $134,751, depending on qualifications and experience.
