Koff & Associates, established in 1984, is a full-spectrum public sector human resources consulting firm specializing in organizational, job classification, and compensation studies for cities, counties, special districts, and a multitude of other public agencies. Our workload also includes performance management and incentive compensation programs; development of strategic management tools; policy/procedure development and employee handbooks; executive search and staff recruitments; HR audits; public agency mergers; and serving as off-site HR Director for our smaller public agencies that need the expertise of an HR Director but do not need a full-time, on-site professional.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional with experience in public sector job classification and compensation analysis or similar level of analysis. We currently have a huge workload of projects that is expected to continue. The ideal candidate will have class/comp experience and will only need a minimal amount of training to become familiar with the Koff & Associates methodology.
- BS/BA degree in human resources, business or public administration, finance, accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred;
- At least 2 years of professional analytical experience in the public sector classification and compensation field is preferred. Corporate compensation experience may be considered. Experience in a consulting role is preferred;
- Walk-on-water written and oral communication and computer skills; and
- A customer-service orientation and “can-do” attitude.
