The Position
The recruitment will be flexibly staffed at the Electrician I or II level depending on experience. He or she will have a solid background in a full range of skilled electrician duties related to the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance of water, recycled water, and wastewater process equipment. The candidate will be skilled in working on and maintaining motor control centers, variable frequency drives, soft starters, electric motors, transformers, medium voltage switches, co-generation systems, standby diesel generators, lighting systems, uninterruptable power supplies, power distribution equipment; 21kV,2.4kV and 480V switchgear; and protective relaying.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a skilled electrician with a solid background in the full range of skilled electrician duties related to water, recycled water, and wastewater equipment.
He/she will be skilled in working on the maintenance side of electrical work and have skills in instruction, troubleshooting, variable frequency devices (VFD) and motor controls. Attention to detail and the ability to QA their own work are important skills.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, skilled in writing work summaries utilizing a computer, and have the ability to work independently, and exercise good judgment and initiative.
