The Position
Under general direction, plans, manages, oversees and directs all activities related to the coordination of industrial/commercial environmental compliance as it pertains to pretreatment and storm water regulations, coordination of all storm water compliance issues and coordination of recycled water and water quality and cross connection control. Provides professional-level support to the Environmental Compliance and Supply Division Manager in a variety of areas. Coordinates unit work with that of other City divisions, and departments, and external agencies.
Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in engineering, geology, natural sciences, or a related field.
Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible water quality and environmental management experience, including two (2) years supervisory, lead, or ongoing program or project management experience.
Master’s degree is desired.
Possession of a valid driver’s license at the appropriate level including special endorsements, as required by the State of California, may be required depending upon the assignment.
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers is desired.
Compensation
$78,161 to $129,281
