An at-will management/professional position, serves as the head of the human resources division and performs a variety of complex professional, and supervisory duties, under administrative direction of the City Administrator.
This position plans, coordinates, and oversees the activities of the human resources division such as recruitment and selection of City employees, employee benefit programs, labor relations, employee relations, classification and compensation, policy development, discipline, workers compensation program and Civil Service.
Coordinates related personnel services consistent with City ordinances, resolutions, collective bargaining agreements, applicable legislation and professional standards. Work is characterized by considerable judgment and discretion.
