Koff & Associates, established in 1984, is a full-spectrum public sector human resources consulting firm specializing in organizational, job classification, and compensation studies for cities, counties, special districts, and a multitude of other public agencies. Our workload also includes performance management and incentive compensation programs; development of strategic management tools; policy/procedure development and employee handbooks; executive search and staff recruitments; HR audits; public agency mergers; and serving as off-site HR Director for our smaller public agencies that need the expertise of an HR Director but do not need a full-time, on-site professional.
We are looking for a post graduate or graduate student interested in joining our team as a Human Resources Consultant. The successful applicant will work on various public-sector HR projects, including classification and compensation analysis, and will be given introductory exposure to human resources consulting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical acumen and will be provided training to become familiar with best practices.
- Currently pursuing or completed a Master’s degree or PhD in human resources, organizational development, organizational/industrial psychology, or related field is desired.
- Professional analytical experience is desired but not necessary.
- Walk-on-water written and oral communication and computer skills; and
- A customer-service orientation and “can-do” attitude.
