The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a strategic, technologically sophisticated, and solutionsoriented mentor and leader who can effectively support the Director and build the trust and support of staff and the community. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are necessary as this position will be called upon to act on behalf of the Department Director to the Board of Supervisors, in community meetings, and other settings. The successful candidate will be effective at implementing and sustaining process improvements, assisting the Division as it continues to develop policies, processes and procedures that improve its service and support to residents and the development community. Excellent communication skills and a track record of building a high performing, team-oriented, supportive working environment is ideal. The selected candidate will have high integrity and possess a passion for public service, serving diverse communities at all levels; who recognizes this opportunity to establish effective and efficient administrative practices, enable the Department to be a policy and thought leader, lead complex projects for long-term success.
