The Position
Under general direction, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and reviews the work of the of staff performing work related to the daily operations of the wastewater, recycled water, and storm water treatment facilities systems and programs; coordinates assigned activities with other City divisions, departments, and outside agencies; provides highly complex and responsible staff assistance to assigned Public Works Deputy Director, and others in areas of expertise; performs related work as required.
Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in engineering, natural sciences, business or public administration, or a related field
Seven years of progressively responsible wastewater treatment and operations experience, including four years of experience in leading operations, maintenance, or environmental personnel in a comparable agency.
Possession of a valid driver’s license at the appropriate level including special endorsements, as required by the State of California, may be required depending upon assignment to perform the essential job functions of the position.
Possession of a Grade V California Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB).
Compensation
$78,162 to $129,281
